LCS Tips
Work in progress so feel free to ask for changes...
LCS is one of the best ways to get shards, soul gems and lvl 60+ skills. It can be accessed once a day after level 50.
There are 3 rounds of monsters followed by a boss on each side then the middle.
Bosses
The 3 bosses which have frontal AOE so make sure everyone hides behind
it before attacking. The bosses seem very nice and don't attack until a
player hits it first, for a little while.
There will be a cut scene before each bosses and there is a 30 second
warning before the boss arrives. Do not rush off on the warning as most
likely there will be a final wave of mobs.
General Monsters
Pay attention to what Morin says in the red chat, especially for the 3rd
wave. He will give you hints such as monsters get more powerful if
damaged (aka don't aoe), or monsters have a chance to instant kill if
you are less then 50% health.
First 2 waves are generally really easy, and the 3rd wave is where ppl generally trip up, but this can be mitigated by buffs..
Buffs
The NPC on the left lets you buy buffs.
These give a massive bonus to atk, def and health. There are also other
stuffs u can buy which I have not looked at, ie mass agro items etc.
My advice is to at least buy the second defence and 3rd health (check
please), these are the ones that are just under 100 courage. Courage is
earned by killing stuffs and there is a indicator on the left of your
screen.
The reason why I suggest the ones less then 100 courage is because you
can also buy the attack one and if i fully buy shards and save my
crystals I get left with about 350 courage, so might as well use them.
Rewards
Okay I've been on about courage... this is gained from killing stuffs
lots for bosses. Courage is used for both buffs and rewards.
My average is about 3500, which is enough for 6 lvl 70 shards. The lvl
70 skill box costs 4400 courage and there is a 10k achievement.
More courage is gained by killing fast, so the atk buff is needed.
You get 1 crystal per boss so I would save them for skill boxes as some skills can sell for as much as 3.5D or maybe more!!!
Courage does not carry between instances, crystals do.
Tips and Bugs
Make sure you know which shard you want before entering. You get 5 mins to collect your reward from the NPC on the right.
You can collect rewards at any time (I believe), so if the pt seems poor this might be a good backup plan.
You respawn in danger so if you are pt wiping on the 3rd round you need a very funky healer to get you out of the situation.
I tried to get the melody achievement which is the top buffs from atk,
def and health, but didn't get it. I didn't buy them all at the same
time so that might be the issue.
*Update* I finally got the melody achievement by buying the 3 top skills atk, def and health and applied them at the same time.
Please help improve this with feedback.
